I came across this apartment a while ago and I instantly fell for it- I want to have this colourful wooden flooring and in contrast to that totally white furniture. Don’t take me wrong- I’m not planning to renovate my home in this manner. My boyfriend once said, that I should have the whole building available for my visions, so that I could decorated each floor differently- he knows me so well.
The Humlegården Apartment was designed by Tham & Videgård Hansson Architects and it is situated in Stockholm. Scandinavian countries have usually very specific interior design, which is worldwide recognizable- white walls and flooring, lots of wood and do-it-yourself furniture. Yet this home is still clean and elegant, but this is achieved by the use of colours. Wooden flooring was carefully designed to cover the whole space in different hues and with soft transitions between the colours. The clever use of white furniture keep attention where it should- below.
